The limited blink flurry research is focused on its occurrence within cognition-based contexts, connecting it to cognitive load during mental and visual processing tasks. This study tests whether the blink flurry also occurs during emotional loading, as individuals from 42 randomly selected videos from LADbible TV’s Minutes With series communicate life experiences. It also tests the prediction that the blink flurry does not always follow a period of blink inhibition and whether gender differences emerge. As predicted, results confirmed that the blink flurry occurred during emotional loading and did not always follow blink inhibition. Results also showed that men significantly displayed more blink flurries than women.
