Richard Loomans

As a former International trade consultant for more than 20 years, Richard’s expertise lies in improving awareness, growth, and managing risk profiles for small and medium-sized companies. Having been exposed to cultural differences throughout his entire life and having experienced the misunderstandings created by the lack of cultural awareness of leaders, he joined The Culture Factor Group as an Associate Practitioner in 2023. He became certified as a facilitator and consultant in Intercultural Management. Richard is passionate about making a practical difference in the day-to-day work of international companies by solving (cross-cultural) misunderstandings using analytics, and currently works as an educator at the International Trade Institute.  Richard is a graduate of the International Trade Institutes Professional Diploma in International Trade Policy in Ireland, the Rotterdam School of Management program and he has undergraduate qualifications in business and economics from the Open University and the Zuyd University in Applied Science.  Richard is currently studying towards an MSc in Communications, Behaviour and Credibility Analysis at MMU, to further explore and understand the intricacies of human behaviour, emotions, culture and interaction.
