Level 1: SCAnS Online
Level 1: SCAnS Online

At Level 1 you will establish a strong foundation in SCAnS with our introductory online module. This level provides you with the core concepts and practical tools to start applying six-channel analysis in real-world scenarios. This is a comprehensive online course that introduces the framework’s theoretical foundations. The programme features video-based examples, interactive exercises, and knowledge checks designed to build a strong baseline understanding of structured behavioural observation.
This flexible format allows learners to progress at their own pace whilst ensuring consistent foundational knowledge across all participants. The course content is designed to prepare learners for the practical application stages that follow.
Level 2: SCAnS Certificate
SCAnS Certificate - Professional Application & Analysis

Take your skills to the next level with our SCAnS Certificate. In this second level you will transitions from theory into practical application, delivered either as an in-person workshop or through online 1-1coached sessions. This hands-on approach ensures participants develop confidence in recognising and applying SCAnS techniques in real-world contexts.
Guided Coding Exercises: Participants practice structured observation techniques with expert guidance, learning to identify and categorise nonverbal signals systematically.
Roleplay Scenarios: Interactive scenarios provide safe practice environments where learners can apply SCAnS principles and receive immediate feedback.
Personalised Sessions: 1-to-1 or Small Group feedback sessions help participants refine their observation skills and address specific learning needs.
This in-person (or coached practical) session gives you hands-on experience and personalized feedback. You’ll leave with a recognized certificate and the confidence to apply SCAnS techniques in more complex situations.
There are typically two dates per year for the Level 2 SCAnS Workshop over 2 days, though for a more personalised and tailored learning approach we offer 1-1 coaching to develop your SCAnS skills.
Level 3: SCAnS Trainer
The final stage, having completed Level 2, is a comprehensive two-day programme designed for individuals who will embed SCAnS within their organisation or existing training portfolio. Participants deepen their theoretical understanding whilst developing practical training delivery skills.
Through detailed coaching on both content mastery and delivery, participants gain the expertise needed to train others effectively. The programme ensures certified trainers can maintain EIA standards whilst adapting content to their organisational context.

You will work with an experienced SCAnS coach who not only has deep expertise in the concepts and research behind SCAnS approach, but has extensive practical experience in applying SCAnS in real world contexts.
Our 2-day one to one coaching programme includes the first year license for free to allow new trainers to develop their business and practice. After which, from Year 2 onwards, there is an affordable £400 License Renewal, paid on the anniversary of your certification.
