Whether motivated by fame, fortune or an insatiable desire for attention, many criminals have met their downfall by publicly denying crimes they have committed.

In this series, the tutors of this MSc – Dr. Cliff Lansley, and Professor Dawn Archer, along with Clinical Psychologist Kerry Daynes, analyse iconic TV appeals made by criminals who claimed to be grief-stricken but were later revealed to be the perpetrators.

Cliff is a highly accomplished educationalist. With a PhD in Emotional Intelligence, Cliff has focused his career on emotional skills and competencies, truth and deception detection, and multichannel communications. Cliff has facilitated seminars and workshops for over 25,000 professionals from multiple sectors, including police, security, investment, finance/commerce, medical, psychology, coaching/HR, and hospitality. He has also been instrumental in the development and deployment of Dr. Paul Ekman's work after receiving Dr. Ekman's trust to develop training programs and strategic partnerships through the establishment of Paul Ekman International.
